When Danny Fagon’s Dad Ronnie contracted Covid-19, his symptoms were so serious he was admitted to intensive care. Restrictions due to the pandemic meant that Danny and his family were unable to visit him.

However, thanks to the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) Charity’s Superhero Appeal, Ronnie was able to see and talk to his loved ones everyday using an iPad funded by the Charity.

Danny said of his care at University Hosptial Coventry, “They made sure we were always in contact with Dad and even went the extra mile by giving my Dad an iPad so that we could FaceTime in the evenings.”

Teresa Fagon, Danny’s Mum, added, “All the staff at the hospital were fantastic and helpful. When the Charity iPad was given to my husband so he could communicate with us – well, that was a Godsend. It gave us all so much reassurance that he was being well looked after. A big thank you to all the staff.”

Your donations to our Superhero Appeal have supported our teams at UHCW NHS Trust in providing 80 iPads to patients so that they can stay in contact with their loved ones.

Thanks to your generous support we can make things better for our staff, our patients and their families.
