Medical Secretaries on the Colorectal Department are now able to work more efficiently thanks to your donations to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Charity

Working in a busy office, Medical Secretaries in the Colorectal Department at UHCW were struggling to concentrate or hear Doctors’ dictation accurately. This meant that work was taking longer to complete, resulting in frustration for the team and delays to patients.

With a grant from UHCW Charity the team have been able to purchase 7 pairs of Noise Cancelling Headphones. These will enable them to hear dictation more clearly, work more efficiently and process patient notes and letters faster.

 Deborah Lowes, Medical Secretary said:

“These new headphones have been great to receive.  They have reduced all the background noise we get in our open plan office which we share with secretaries, surgeons, registrars, nurses and the MDT coordinators.  It means we can type much more efficiently without interruption and complete tasks in a timelier manner.”

It is simple things like these that can make a real difference to our staff, our patients and their families. You can help us continue to make things better. Donate here
