Coventry Building Society have supported the Hospital throughout the pandemic and, as restrictions lifted, were the first to offer their support to transform the Faith Gardens overgrown ivy bed into a beautiful sensory garden.

Before:

Despite the wind and rain the team arrived ready to tackle the overgrown ivy. After much digging away and pulling the bed was emptied and ready for a new layer of soil and sensory plants.

A final clean up and scrub of the raised bed and plaques meant the new sensory bed was complete in only 6 hours!

“We are grateful to Coventry Building Society for supporting this project and the enthusiasm of their staff to do whatever it takes to make a positive difference for staff, patients and their families at UHCW. They should be proud of what they have achieved and we can’t thank them enough for their hard work” – Maddie Difford, Corporate Fundraiser

After:

A big thank you to local business Bartlett’s who kindly donated a ton of soil for the project and also to Tony from the Binley B&Q store whose knowledge of plants was much appreciated!
