You don’t need to stick to Signature, Technical or Showstopper – savoury or sweet, the theme is up to you Then visit our Just Giving page here to donate your £3 'entry fee' Now...Bake! You can bake whenever it suits you, up to our deadline on Monday 23 November  Submit Your Bake For Judging! Take a picture of your bake and upload it to social media – make sure you @UHCWCharity and tag your post with #UHCWBakeOff so that we can find it 'Sell' Your Bake Once you have shared your bake online you can encourage your friends, family or colleagues to donate the amount they would have paid to enjoy your delicious bakes in person  You can connect your fundraising page to ours here

  • World Prematurity Day

    On the 17th November, on World Prematurity Day, staff from across University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, their premature babies and their families, past and present, come together with neonatal units nationally and internationally to celebrate the 15 million babies born early every year around the world. Buy a World Prematurity Day T-Shirt to help us to improve the facilities and the environment for our premature babies and their families.

    Join the #CaptainTom100 Challenge and support your local hospitals, University, Coventry and Rugby St Cross, by fundraising for UHCW Charity Take part in the Captain Tom 100 from Friday 30th April to Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May 2021 to celebrate Captain Sir Tom Moore’s amazing achievements and raise vital funds for UHCW Charity Friday 30th April would have been Captain Sir Tom’s 101st birthday and is the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations that followed the conclusion of his fundraising walk that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS All you need to do is dream up your idea – an activity of your choice based around the number 100 – and do it any time and anywhere from Friday 30th April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May Your 100 could be walking 100 steps or running 100 metres, scoring 100 goals, baking 100 cakes, climbing 100 stairs, hopping 100 laps of the garden, building 100 sandcastles, writing a 100-word poem, flipping 100 pancakes – anything at all, inside or outside.     One month of coming together for better! You can do your 5K anywhere, anytime with anyone. You can run, roll, walk, cycle or even swim if you want to... It's about getting out and feeling good while doing it. Donate your £5 to UHCW Charity so we can continue to make things better for our staff, patients and their families. How to take part? Anytime between 1st - 31st May, participate in a 5k (run, roll, walk, cycle, hop, socially distanced of course!) Donate £5 to charity here Nominate 5 of your friends to take part too, remembering to tag us @UHCWCharity so we can share!     Join in with the nations first ever thank you day and say thank you to your local NHS heroes The aim is for as many people as possible to be involved, however they would like, so everyone who deserves it gets a thank you – and the whole of the UK gets together We are delighted that our very own Matron May Parsons, who gave the first Covid vaccination in the world (outside of clinical trials) at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, is behind the campaign There isn’t a strict plan for the day (the idea is to say thank you however you want!) but people are already organising lots of fun activities If you would like to say thank you to your local NHS hospitals staff and volunteers let us know if you have an idea to say thank you! - Fill in our Supporter Details Form and email it to uhcwcharity@uhcw.nhs.uk Thank You Day Resources - Tag us on social @UHCWCharity

    What is World Prematurity Day? World Prematurity Day is a global movement to raise awareness of premature birth and the impact it can have on the baby and their families On the 17th November, staff from across University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, their premature babies and their families, past and present, come together with neonatal units nationally and internationally to celebrate the 15 million babies born early every year around the world. 60 000 of these babies are born prematurely in the UK Over 100 countries will join forces to raise awareness Our neonatal unit at UHCW NHS Trust 650 babies are born prematurely (below 37 weeks) at UHCW NHS Trust each year 450 of these premature babies will be admitted to the Neonatal Unit And approximately 200 preterm infants of 34 to 37 weeks will also be cared for in our Transitional Care Unit and Post Natal Ward Additionally 180 full term babies will be admitted to the Neonatal Unit Our Neonatal Unit is the regional centre for key specialisms including the pioneering treatment of babies deprived of oxygen during birth using the controlled cooling technique Buy your World Prematurity Day T-shirt through our online shop - Adult and […]
