  • The Starley Sportive – 2023

The Starley Sportive is a cycling event that recognises the contributions of Coventry based inventors John Kemp Starley and James Starley to the cycling industry. What better way to do this than getting as many people as possible out on their bikes. In addition to this the difference with the Starley Sportive is that 100% of the profit from the event goes to charity, one of which is UHCW Charity. The Starley Sportive Cycling event offers three open road routes for different abilities- a short, family friendly ride of 28.6 miles, a longer route of 63.1 miles, or for really keen cyclists, an Epic ride of 86.5 miles, so there really is something for everyone! The only way to enter for the ride is to register before the day and we have a limited number of discount codes so if you want to raise sponsorship in return for a free place, contact Hayley at Hayley.craig@uhcw.nhs.uk or call 02476 966211 to sign up.
