Family Communication Room Grand Opening

Today saw the first of our Family Communication Rooms open which has been funded by UHCW Charity and kindly supported by a donation from the family of Alexander Wyllie. We are very grateful to his family and friends for their support and for coming along today to officially open the room.

The Family Communications Rooms are designed to be a non-clinical area where families can meet with clinical staff to discuss the care for their loved ones. We have tried to make the room as peaceful and tranquil as possible to give families a calm space at the most stressful of times.

This the first of 11 Family Communication Rooms that we are working towards funding at UHCW. These will be across a range of wards and units across the hospital.

If you’d like to support one of these rooms in memory of a loved one or donate toward them then please contact us.
