We are searching for an ambitious and proactive Senior Fundraiser looking for a fresh challenge and able to support our exciting programme of growth.

Reporting to the Charity Director, the post holder will play a key role in the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy to increase funds for the vital work of our hospitals and our community services. 

This is an exciting time to join our small but focused team, with ample opportunities to make your mark and lead on raising funds with local supporters across Coventry and Warwickshire for our high profile projects and campaigns.

Due to the large geographical area covered by this role, the successful applicant will need to be able to travel independently throughout the area.

About you: 
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who has experience of working with community and corporate supporters, as well as volunteers. This is a key role for UHCW Charity and the right candidate will work with local businesses, hospital staff, patients and their families to raise vital funds. You will have ideally worked within a similar role and can demonstrate the ability to deal sensitively with emotional situations.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, confident in contacting supporters over the telephone as well as meeting them face to face. As our Senior Fundraiser, you will manage the support staff and regularly give talks and presentations to various groups and local organisations. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work well on your own initiative as well as be a real team player. This is a busy and demanding role often with conflicting deadlines so the ability to prioritise your workloads and have an organised, methodical approach is essential. 

You will have experience of managing and working with volunteers to deliver organisational objectives as well as a proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets and a good working knowledge of budgets is essential.

The successful candidate will benefit from working in a dynamic and well-supported team which is going through a key period of growth and investment in resources and facilities.
