We were delighted to welcome Della Wood to University Hospital recently, where she presented us with a cheque for £220!
Della raised the awesome amount by completing the Coventry Half Marathon in 2021
Della was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2017 and was treated by Mr Al-Omishy, Associate Specialist in Breast Surgery. She has since become a keen runner, and decided to take on a half marathon as a way of saying thank you to all of those involved in her care
Della said “Mr Al-Omishy is my Guardian Angel, without him I wouldn’t be here. The NHS saved my life and this is a way I can say thank you”
