On Saturday 9th July, Amber Hanselman and a group of employees from Coventry Building Society started the day at 6am in the Yorkshire Dales. They walked 22 miles in 12 hours, which in the blazing heat was a real test. The team have raised over £1600 between them to support their local hospitals.

Team leader Amber said “It was a very hot day and it was very long but we had an amazing team supporting each other and a big shout out to Ian from Sky Blue Adventures for leading our group. We have managed to raise over £1600 between 6 of us to help support our local hospital, I am looking forward to joining the hospital on the Mont Blanc trek in September too”

Amber’s next challenge will be her biggest yet, as she joins the UHCW Charity Trekkers team taking on the Mont Blanc trail starting on Monday 12 September 2022. Amber will be joining staff members from across University Hospital Coventry to trek through three countries in four days across the Mont Blanc Mountains.
