Research Funds

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity Research Funds support non-commercial research; they include funds with specific terms so that they can only be used for research into a specific speciality as well as General Research, Innovation and Development Fund.

There are currently no research funds to support Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust. To see if there is a Research Fund for the ward or service you work in, click on 'find out more' below.

Fund advisers

Our Trustees take the advice of Fund Advisers on how best to spend the donations we receive so that they have the most benefit to patients. Fund Advisers are staff who, as volunteers for the Charity, act as a link between the NHS team working on the ward or service and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity.

Making an application

Your first step is to speak to the Fund Adviser for the Research Fund as they will have to submit the application. This will also have to be endorsed by the NHS Trust authorising officer. A grant request of £25,000 or more must also be endorsed by the Chief Executive Officer of the NHS organisation.

You can make a difference – fast! You can apply at any time, there are no deadlines and we aim to give you a decision with in two weeks. If your grant award is to support attendance of a conference to present the research  we recommend you apply  at least 12 weeks before the course date.

Reporting on the progress of your project is crucial. As well as allowing us to see the positive changes you’ve made, it helps us in communicating the impact of the projects we fund – vital in enabling our supporters to see the difference we make to patients’ lives.
