Events

Take part in an event of your choice, such as a walk, run or trek, or attending a craft fayre or dinner, and raise much need funds for UHCW Charity.

Events

Events are a wonderful way to have fun, achieve an ambition or make an accolade to a love one - whilst raising money for UHCW Charity. 

We organise a number of events throughout the year - depending on your interests and when you want to support us, you can:

Experience new cultures and see beautiful scenery by taking part in one of hundreds of treks, cycles and horse rides, in the UK and across the world.

Have the adrenaline rush of a life time when you jump from an aeroplane and glide gently to the ground in a parachute jump or sky dive.

Celebrate when you cross the finishing line of a Fun Run, 5k or Marathon.

Enjoy a gentle stroll in a local park or attraction in a walking event.

Buy crafts, jewellery and other gifts at a spring or Christmas fayre.

In addition, some events, often social or sporting, are organised by people or organisations 'in aid of'* UHCW Charity.  On these occasions the event organiser makes a donation to us from the money they raise.  If you are organising an event , including a tea party, please refer to the section Organise Your Events

You can also use an event you are taking part in independently, to support our work by getting sponsored.  Such as -

 

                    Mercia's Walk of Warwickshire 
                        Sunday 17th June 2012

 

Great news – the Walk of Warwickshire is back for 2012 – and for the fantastic cause of UHCW Charity’s Baby Care Appeal, improving the facilities, environment and antenatal care in the Owen Building at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby and the University Hospital, Coventry.
 

 

All of the money raised will go towards this fantastic cause including developing intensive and critical care facilities for premature babies, including support for parents through facilities in the neonatal unit and a fund to support parents with the costs of staying near to the hospital.
